“No prettier fall than Carnival”

“…my original theory was that we’re living in such a fucked-up world and things are so awful that Earth needed to populate itself with people who were going to do something about it.” – Tim Kring (Creator)

NBC’s Heroes is back with one of its best seasons thus far, now in volume five titled “Redemption”. New characters and actors include, Lydia (Dawn Olivieri), the tattooed woman able to “connect” with people through the use of clairvoyance, Madeline Zima, cast as Gretchen, Claire’s (Hayden Panettiere) odd and bi-curious roommate, Rick Worthy, playing Matt’s new police partner, Edgar (Ray Park), a skilled knife thrower with superhuman speed ability, and most notable and significant to the events occurring this season, Robert Knepper, who has joined Heroes to portray Samuel Sullivan, a character able to manipulate earthly matter with his mind, and is the leader of the ‘Sullivan Bros. Carnival’ ring.

This season revolves around a traveling carnival, showcasing, shielding, protecting and sheltering various superhumans disguised as unique acts. The show last aired on November 30, 2009 with its eleventh episode titled “The Fifth Stage”, and will return with new episodes airing on NBC on January 4, 2010.
